  The Country MouseWhoever said that mice aren’t barnyard animals? Certainly not the hens and rabbits who see their feed gobbled up by small but insatiable rodents. So a special dish has to be prepared for these unwelcome raiders: bait that is not altered by dampness or humidity and that, if accidentally swallowed by fowl, in no way harms them. We shall carefully place this bait in tightly closed feedboxes which shall in turn be strategically positioned here and there – but particularly near feed distributors and in chicken coops. If this bait should spill out (a highly unlikely possibility), it will not be harmful to farm fauna inasmuch as such fowl have no gastric juices and will not be able to dissolve the protective film covering the grains. |
