	The city rat Newsstands are usually just a stopover point for harmful rodents, places visited during the night by large sewer rats as well as by small mice. It isn’t clear whether rats and mice are attracted more by sports news or political commentary, but the fact remains that whenever food is in short supply newsprint becomes a much appreciated “alternate dinner” for rodents. So the bait employed here does not have to be especially tasty. We use bait contained in paper envelopes that we can stuff it in even the most remote corners without losing any of the product.
